Ultratrex Machinery Sdn. Bhd. successfully organized a two-day HIRARC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control) Training program on 22 – 23 September 2025. The training was conducted as part of the company’s ongoing commitment to improving workplace safety and strengthening its Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) culture.
The main objective of the HIRARC training was to ensure that all staff are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to identify potential hazards, evaluate risks, and implement proper control measures to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace. By understanding these key elements, employees can play a proactive role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment across all departments from operations and maintenance to administration and logistics.
Throughout the two-day session, participants learned about various types of workplace hazards, including mechanical, electrical, ergonomic, and environmental risks. The training also included interactive group discussions, case studies, and practical exercises, allowing participants to apply HIRARC principles to real-life scenarios commonly encountered in Ultratrex’s operations, especially in manufacturing, field service, and amphibious equipment maintenance.
The program was facilitated by qualified safety trainers with extensive experience in industrial safety and risk management. Their expertise provided valuable insight into how systematic risk assessment can prevent incidents and enhance overall operational efficiency.
By the end of the training, employees demonstrated improved understanding of hazard control hierarchy and the importance of continuous monitoring and documentation as part of an effective HSE management system.
